Information:
Grades are one of the many important functions that are updated and displayed within the myCampus portal. Eliminating the need to contact professors for midterm or final grades, or even go to a secondary website within the school streamlines the process receiving and reviewing grades.
Scheduling capabilities with myCampus allow students to select courses in real time and work within the portal to customize classes while still using other dashboard functions.
The Calendar feature includes important dates, such as the first and last days of classes and holidays, as well as personal information that can be added by the student or imported from other calendars stored on a personal computer, such as iCal or Microsoft® Exchange®.
Communication:
Facebook®-esque social networking capabilities to help students connect with friends and classmates.
Instant email accessibility for students to contact professors, TA's and other faculty members provided through the portal applications.
Extracurricular/Fun:
Itunes - Bridge to Itunes account provided through myCampus portal allows students to work to their favorite music while keeping a manageable number of application windows open on their computer screens.
On-Campus entertainment online - The ability of the myCampus portal to host, contain, and display information for student organizations (see Student Activity Leaders) allows students who are interested in attending on-campus activities to check out schedules of upcoming events, register as an organization volunteer, and see pictures from recent events.
A bridge to a popular job search engine provides students with opportunities to search for part time jobs, apply for internships, and keep an eye on the perfect post-graduation opportunity while still working within the myCampus portal.
